Time Flies
Here are some pics today! 165lbs! The pic in previous post was one year ago today at 210lbs! Time flies!!!!
Long way to go
Training not so good this last week!!!!! I always preach how important it is to put yourself first, well these past few weeks i struggled horribly! Why i ask? In all honestly with the business of family and running around i actually feel worse not training! I let my feelings and anxiety over worrying about others derail my progress! one would say its ok because we need to be there for family when they need us, but sometimes we then put ourselves on the backburner! As in life "its always something" so i better learn to balance better! Sooo this coming week will be much better! i try and schedule my workouts and meals on the weekends so thats what i will be up to this weekend! I was contacted by a female to help her prep for her first figure competition and help her with posing! yay im so happy to hopefully work with her! I have been waiting to help along a competitor for so long as to there isnt to many of us around! I sold my 2011 tahoe and bought a used 2000 ford explorer for the firehouse commutes! no need for me and andy to have 2 tahoes! And no car payment! I laugh at myself because my father always told me to not have a car payment! live and learn pops!!! The march 31st show will not have me in it due to it not being a qualifier! so my plans are to do the gateway in may! Gives me a lil more time which is goooood! I hope to report better progress next week! Remember to try and put yourself first! Have a great weekend guys!
The pic above is so hilarious to me it will be very interesting to see my progress :) Pic taken today of last year!

So starts another week, wow time is going by so fast. Had a relaxing day yesterday in hopes for a fresh energized start to the week! Instead couldnt get baby down till midnight puppy needed to go out at 2 and 4am and baby up at 530????really! oh and as im making the bottle im saying wtf is that smell? I axtually thought Jack threw up on me so im looking all over my robe inspecting him top to bottom and even had andy smell me ha! couldnt find anything! So after i get jack down at 630 i make my coffee and turn the news on only to look down to a huge crap on the floor!!!!That was the smell awesome! Great start to my day! My body is liking this weight way to much so we tried cutting my protien down and it seems to be working finally in the mid 160's where i need to be. On days like this where i am so tired i dread having to go to the gym twice. All that i seem to think about is nothing comes easy and its a daily test! I can say i need sleep and not do what i need to do or i can figure a way to get it done. Im not the only parent struggling with this. I actually have it good having a work schedule that allows me to be off 4 days a week. I know so many of you have it so much harder! Its just i refuse to be the mother who just had a baby!!What ????i had a baby 10months ago ha! Its time to get back in shape. I also am fueled by criticism! People know i compete so when im not in perfect shape they say hurtful things! People dont understand the gain/loss and on season/offseason and thats ok. Oh and having a baby!! But a day doesnt go by that i dont think about comments made and by who said them. I 100% thank that/those people for they are the reason i make it to the gym on mornings like this! Have a great Monday and get movin!!!!!!

Moving along
Dieting and prep are moving along. If all goes well i plan on competing march 31st. Im down 5lbs which is good but again like every other show feel it may not be enough. All i can do is keep going and try my best. I struggle with hunger and find it soooo difficult to just eat to fuel my body. I enjoy good food that tastes great, but with competing there is none of that. Ha. Its only for a short while that i have to eat so strict. I have been meeting with my trainer 3x a week and it is helping alot. Tho i find it difficult to be at firehouse all day and night return home in the morning and head back out to train for 3 hrs all the while missing my son and Andy. I have always been supported 100% by Andy and my family and that is a huge part of my passion for this sport. My cardio is 45min a day but recently added another 1/2 hr. The only cardio that works for me is high intensity. For my body fat to drop i have to have my heartrate in the 80-90%. My choice of cardio is spinning, running interval sprints the old stepmill and the cybex stepper. I focus heavily on my music selection because it totally pushes me through when im slacking. While lifting i try and drop set and move rather quickly for the added calorie burn. My strength "suprisingly" is right where it should be considering i didnt lift heavy while pregnant or months after. My muscle endurance on the other hand is taking its time to catch up. But all in all prep is going good. We will see how i come in! ;))))

I am constantly inspired by people everyday. Many of them i follow on posts and websites so through the great advice from a long time friend i decided to open my own blog. I am a new mother to my beautiful son Jack who is 10mnths old now. I have been competing in bodybuilding for 4 years. Alot has changed due to my son but it is my goal to continue to find balance with work family and training. I will be competing in april and i will post my progress, my struggles and my new goals all with a new son! My intentions are to inspire mothers that get stuck in the overwhelming duties of being a mother and trying to find themselves again. You can find time! Its a matter of wanting too! We all need motivation and i hope you will share your stories with me in return! Here is to a great 2012!!!!
